Fine Forty Coupe

This 1940 Chevrolet Coupe was built in the mid 1970’s and has been owned by the same family for 40+ years! It’s now owned by Bill and Lucy Smathers of Roseville, CA. Bill is a member of the “Old Car Car-O-Holics Anonymous,” which I believe, I’m also a member. Bill has owned quite a few rods, classics and even straight axle gassers during his membership to “OCCA.” This Fine Forty Coupe is motivated by a small block Chevrolet V8, hooked to a Chevy 350 automatic trans, pushing power to a Chevy 10 bolt rear. The interior of this coupe is a beautiful brown and tan, old school, tuck n’ roll interior. A vintage 1955 Chevrolet steering wheel is mounted on a tilt wheel column and adds a special touch to the dash. Bill just put new chrome reversed wheels and Coker Classic radial wide-white-walls giving this coupe a special look. Bill’s sickness continues… he mentioned to me that he’s now looking for a “Tri Five Bow Tie” so, he’s considering selling this Fine Forty coupe. Old car guys fall in and out of love, every other day. If you want to “marry” Bill’s “Fine Forty” coupe, call 916-214-8468. (Note – Bill’s wife Lucy, says that Bill owes the cookie jar $27,500 and that she holds the title).
